Given the nature of this website about the need to identify and clarify the interfaces of transport infrastructure and its environment, I have added a number of references and links in the Bibliography pages to:
1. a BBC news article about a sewer collapse, under main line railway south of London Bridge station;
2. the collapse of part of abridge in Barrow Upon Soar due to lack of comprehension of the interfaces.
3. the collapse of a retaining wall at Liverpool due to overloading the structure by an interfacing stakeholder;
4. the derailment of a South West Trains train at Wimbledon, due to a lack of clarity of the interfaces between Network Rail and London Underground.
These examples clearly demonstrate the benefits of the AIR research project and its outputs for the effective generation of evidence-based interface data and its sharing between interfacing stakeholders.
